FOR PRECISION HIGH-VOLUME MEASUREMENT, INLINE OR NEAR-LINE

The Absolute Scanner 1 (AS1) is the flagship 3D scanning sensor for the AT960 tracker. With its use of blue-laser technology and advanced programing, the AS1 delivers productive, non-contact 3D measurement with simple usability. Powered by SHINE (Systematic High-Intelligence Noise Elimination), the AS1 comes with an extra wide horizontally-oriented laser scan line and fully-automatic exposure settings, making 3D digitization fast and more accurate.

Features & Benefits

Large-scale accuracy
Measurement accuracy to within just 50 microns across the entire 60-meter diameter measurement volume when used with an Absolute Tracker.

Smaller-scale precision
Complete Scanning System Accuracy to within just 43 microns with Absolute Arm measurement.

Low noise, big data
Up to 1.2 million points per second of high-quality measurement data, even when scanning shiny materials that often require spray with other scanners.

High-speed measurement
Digitize large surfaces quickly with data collected at 300 lines per second with no need to reduce laser line width or point spacing.

Scan line
The extra-wide mid-range scan line width of 150 millimeters makes digitisation of large parts and surfaces fundamentally faster by covering more surface area with each scan pass.

SHINE performance
The advanced algorithms of our SHINE technology allow you to digitize almost any surface type with the default exposure settings, from glossy black plastic automotive body parts to molded carbon-fiber components, making high-quality measurement easier than ever with no high-level training required and operator variability eliminated.

Ease-of-use
Switching between measurement profiles and executing of macros and other software functions is fast and easy direct from the scanner with the AP21’s programmable Quick Access buttons and the Absolute Arm’s OLED touch screen wrist display.

Light movement
Weighing in at just 400-grams, the AS1 is light and easy to move, minimizing the user fatigue that is one of the most common causes of inaccurate and unreliable measurement results.

Completely portable
Lightweight design of the scanner carries through to the controller, which can be mounted directly on the tracker stand.

Visual guidance
A laser-projected range finder helps users measure more accurately and efficiently by helping ensure the scanner is positioned correctly relative to the part being measured.

Automation ready
A direct digital input/output function built into the scanner controller allows robot movement and scanning tasks to be managed without a dedicated automation interface for laser tracker automation setups.

Modular marvel
The modular concept of the AS1 allows for quick and easy serviceability, as well as device sharing between measurement teams and locations.

Cross-platform compatibility
Fit the AS1 to a handheld Absolute Positioner AP21 unit to measure over large volumes with an Absolute Tracker, or switch to an Absolute Arm 7-Axis for smaller-scale measurement, with no realignment required when switching.

ISO Certification
The full scanning system accuracy of the AS1 and Absolute Arm 7-Axis system is supplied certified according to ISO 10360-8 Annex D, while an AS1 with AP21 unit is specified in line with ISO 10360-10.
