A bright mid-May day brought the brightest in the 3D business to an Open House at our Brookfield, WI. location. Nearly 100 guests attended, representing various and numerous industries including tool and mold making, casting, plastics, aerospace, automotive, medical, educational, science and recreational.
Precision hardware by Aicon 3D, Breuckmann, Hexagon Metrology, Leica GeoSystems, and ROMER was exhibited. Premier software like PolyWorks® by Innovmetric was showcased.
After breakfast, meet & greets, and walk-arounds, Kris Bowers from Exact Metrology kicked off the jam-packed morning session with a "What's New in 3D Scanning" overview.

Various technical demonstrations were held throughout the day and about a dozen Exact Metrology staff members were present to answer questions and reveal helpful tips and tricks.
Phil Lewis, Sales Engineer for Aicon3D Systems, was on hand to demonstrate his steroSCAN 3D Scanner. With integration of the patented MPT projection unit and two digital cameras, assessment of areas that would traditionally be difficult to reach is easily accomplished with this equipment.

Julien Thibodeau Gagne, Application Specialist from Innovmetric, gave a presentation on "Best Scanning Practices". He also discussed how the components in PolyWorks' software suite can cover the complete product development cycle, from part and tool design and prototyping down to final inspection of assembled products.

Scott Martin, ROMER Regional Manager Midwest for Hexagon Metrology, Inc., proudly showed off one his products. The ROMER Absolute Arm with integrated scanner is the first portable arm system in the market that is factory calibrated and certified to B89 specifications.

The event was a huge success because it was again demonstrated that Exact Metrology carries only the best brand products that continue to advance industry standards; and we back them with expert service from experienced professionals.
