X-ray based 3D scanning allows for the easy measurement of the internal structures of parts. By generating a point cloud from a number of two dimensional x-ray pictures, the inside of parts can be visualized without the need to destroy the part. These internal structures can then be measured and evaluated, and an initial sample test report is generated in a fraction of the time needed using traditional, destructive measuring technology.
